His story
At home in the mountains.
Davide's story begins where skiing means holiday for most people – and has always meant everyday life for him. He was on skis at the age of two, on the slopes of the Alpe Cermis above Cavalese. His mother ran a ski hut during his childhood; his father and his grandfather are ski instructors. Mountains, snow and sport were a natural part of his life from the very beginning.
Giant slalom is where Davide found his discipline. The combination of speed, technique and risk still fascinates him today – and it matches his personality: working precisely, finding the best line and moving his own limit step by step.
The decisive turning point came in the 2021/22 season. In March 2022 Davide won the Italian junior championships in giant slalom and the Gran Premio Italia. Joining the Fiamme Gialle, the sports group of the Guardia di Finanza, shortly afterwards turned his passion into his profession for good.
Home and drive
Despite the demands of professional sport, the connection to his home has remained. Cavalese, the Val di Fiemme and Trentino shaped Davide and passed on values such as dedication, ambition and respect. Family and friends play a central role in that.
Away from the piste, too, Davide looks for movement and speed. Cars, motocross, cycling and hiking in the mountains are among his interests – anything that combines nature, adrenaline and momentum.
Wherever the sport takes him next, the mountains around Cavalese remain home.
